PXL_20221121_221804403.jpg PXL_20221121_221804403.jpg I found a few of these cloth pictures in frames and would like to learn a little more about what they are called and what era they are from. What determines their value?

@Grandmasattic please can you click edit and then ‘full image’ on your photos? Then we can see them full size rather than the thumbnails. Any problems just shout :)

Id say from a kit.1920s maybe. Charming though.

Not just cloth, embroidered. Johnny is probably right that someone practicing her needlework made them from a kit & proudly framed them.

The stitches seem a bit large, but don't know whether this would qualify as crewel.

Reminds me of those embroidered Spanish post cards from the 60s, except this is nicer.
The scene is Spanish, but a prettier and sweeter scene than the cards. The subject is a bit Goyaesque.

    I see a child's hand. Sweet. Agree re 1920s-ish.
