Beautiful purse. My first thought is Moonstone, but that is strictly a guess.

Oooh that is really nice:wideyed:, my first thought was moonstone too, but I can't find any beads like that when doing a quick google search.

If it were a glass bowl we were talking about, we would call it opalescent.
So I think they are opalescent glass beads.

I have necklaces with these. They're Czech glass beads.

    I believe so, also.
Similar to what some native tribes were using in their beadwork.

    Hi,
Reminds me of glass also since the frame is German Silver and not Sterling. It is a really pretty bag.

Yes, very pretty said the person who also collected Victorian beaded bags. Oh, god. I'm 66 and none of my kids or grandkids want my antiques or collectibles. They're going to have a wonderful tag sale when I die.

I agree with Messi... opalescent glass seed beads, probably made in what's now called the Czech Republic.

Lovely bag. Beads probably made in Gablonz, indeed.
