What kind of figures are these?

    Hi,

    I'm wondering if somebody can shine some light on these figures. It seems to women holding a roll of paper, high hat, long dress. Any ideas ?

    Looks like a Greek scholar holding a diploma, I noticed that the door hinges don't seem quite right. It's a nice piece.
