Featured What Kind of Lamp Did These Go On!?

    I am totally ignorant, I was told these are "victorian shades" but don't really know what that means. What kind of lamp are they from? I just can't picture it...

    My husband impulse bought them and now I'm tasked with finding out more ! victorian shades.jpg

    You're thinking table lamp. Think hanging lamp. And appear to be much later than Victorian.

    Oh that would make sense!

    I'm not shocked at all to hear that last part lol. When he walked out of the store I was like Wait, why did you buy those!? "They're Victorian!" I just shook my head and made a mental note never to go back to that antique store. They don't seem very old to me.

    They do not have a fitter lip so would have to sit in a frame facing either down or up. Not victorian.

    Am I the only one whom gets a 1920s - 30s vibe ? Those roses sure look hand painted to me.
