What kind of rocks/stones do you see in this necklace?

The clasp is sterling, stones knotted. What could these stones be? Thank you.

Some type of quartz,you can see crystal pockets in a number of them.

 

Now I see them!

 

IIRC they used to call it "river stone", i.e. Random Pretty Rock in my vernacular. It may or may not have another name.

 

I remember you telling me about that kind of rock....this looked different, maybe because they are so huge.

 

I think it was just a generic term for rock that looked about the same. I've only seen it in bead form.
