What kind of rug is this? Too long for prayer rug & too short for runner/hallway rug?

    I found this at my regular thrift store & bought it because it appeared old + there wasn't a lot of other things that day!

    Can anyone tell me what I have; it looks too long to be a prayer rug & too short to be a runner?

    Any information would help.

    Does look hand-knotted and worn, but if you want opinions on original use, you should provide measurement.

    It's a hangs-around looks-pretty. it was probably made to fit an area of someone's home. A hallway or a landing, probably. Maybe the butler's pantry if they really liked the butler?

    The internet seems to think it's a Marasali rug from the Caucus. Doesn't look too old or finely made.
