What material statue made of?

Want to know if neighbors statue is real stone or composite? This has Asian characters near base.

I'll guess pottery.

 

Weighs same as if solid stone so maybe pottery excluded?

 

It's not stone and it may not even be terracotta. Nowadays, there are plastic resins that look much like clay pottery but aren't water permeable. The size of the mold must be enormous. It appears to have been formed in 3 pieces, not sure, it's probably hollowed out. The "artistry" of this statue screams brand new to my eyes.

 

What is the lovely arch in the background for, please? Spring

Hah,If it was solid stone, you wouldn't even be able to try and lift it and judge the weight

Some kind of white ceramic, probably plaster

Can yall tilt it a little and take a pic of the base ? And the marks ? It *looks* like terra cotta to me,but as stated,those folks can fake anything .I think its pretty cool too.

 

Cute, li'l fella, isn't he!!! Personally, I don't think I'd try to tip him up a bit, might just wind up with a pile of cement or plaster or something!!! LOOKS like he's meant to have a marble type look..........
