Believe it or not I found this at my local thrift store today! I think it's from a wwii? machine gun?
    Was/is this a machine gun?
What model & country was it from?
    WWII?
Is it legal to sell (say on eBay) as it is?
Thanks in advance for any help!

    M1 carbine

    Perfectly legal

They were made by a number of other countries after the war for some years

In that condition, I would expect it to not sell.

M1 carbine paratrooper WW2 through Viet Nam though it looks like handle may be modified and nails in the rear of stock.

I put it on eBay for $199 or best offer because last one like it sold for $149 - it sold within the hour! Maybe I should have auctioned it!
Thanks for the help identifying it

feebay does have its uninformed buyers. A nice condition one would go unsold on at $149 on a gun site.

A number of years ago I figured my 1943 Inland M1 wasn't worth selling at what they were going for then - $250-300.

After looking at recent sales I guess it's going on gunbroker.

Most likely original in that poor of condition. I think you got a more than reasonable price.

It does have serial number + a 6 slice pizza pie or a atom like symbol (I thought was on a wwii Japanese pistol I had before)?
The pic is to large to post from phone - I will show it when I get on computer, but the number is 5257814 - any help?
    Thanks

Here are photos of the serial number on underside of folding stock. - What do I have, please? And is it worth more than I sold it for?
    Thanks again

I think it's was worth more...but like Terry said the condition does look like used original....and the use was hard.....so not near what the other one sold for.
Mute point...at this point.....as you got the price you put it out at...
