This secretary/writing table has always decorated my grandma's house. Now that she died, we've adopted it and are wondering where it actually comes from. There's green felt on the inside and the upper cabinet folds open into a little desk. I can't find any sticker, number or mark anywhere and we can't ask grandma anymore. I should add that my grandma was Dutch (and so am I) so the cabinet probably is too, although my grandpa used to work at sea and sometimes brought things home from all over the world. Any information or referral to where I can get more info would be greatly appreciated!

It's 129cm high, the top is 17cm and the bottom 34cm deep, and it's 76cm wide. In imperial, that's 50,7 inch high, 6,7 at the top and 13,4 at the bottom, and overall 30 inches wide.

Thanks so much in advance for any hints at all!

Welcome from a fellow Dutchie, Marinaatje.
I agree, the desk looks Dutch. Mid-20th century, also called MCM, Mid Century Modern. There is a slight Danish/Scandinavian influence. I am not a furniture person, I just remember seeing these in my childhood. I don't know which brand it could be, but maybe the info I gave you helps.
The style is very much in demand now.

@Any Jewelry You definitely know more than I do! Thanks so much for taking a look, I really appreciate it. We love the style too as well as the memories of grandma attached to it.

I'd say teak and burled teak. Very handsome!

That's got MCM all over it. Grandma bought the good stuff!
