What type of dresser is this?

First post here...I purchased this dresser and side table recently and I'm curious of its history. The owner didn't know much about it. She said it was rosewood and she inherited from her grandmother. It has been restored to some degree. Any ideas on how old and what type of furniture? Thank you

Think 40s-50s and don't see rosewood. Maybe walnut or mahogany. Pseudo-French style but doubt French in origin. Really need better pics to tell.
