What type of rug?

I haven't seen this in person yet, but a guy I know said he bought it at a yard sale. He said it measures about 12 x 8

He's a reseller so eventually go up for sale. I asked him how much and he said he wants to get it appraised first because he thinks it's Native American and old ..

I don't know about all that...

What do yall think?

But the colors are bleeding so. . i dobt believe it to be a high dollar rug, BUT i dont know rugs

 

It's definitely not Native American, if that helps.

It's a kilim, a flat weave (not pile) rug with fringe and slit stitching (eliminating the possibility of it being Navajo or Native American.) This type of rug is often referred to as Persian or Oriental, when the exact origin isn't known. Someone here will probably be able to narrow it down.

 

if he thinks it's NA and thinks it's old, you will not get it at a fair price......
