Can anyone please tell me what this spoon would be used for? I think I can read the word Argentina in the stamp which would make sense because Dad grew up in Argentina. It's 12 inches long.
    Thank you.

Long, isn't it. The shape is like an Argentinian yerba mate spoon, but it doesn't have the sieve thing to put mate in. Maybe one of the others knows more.

Or a very long cocktail spoon.:playful:

Iced tea or yes, a tall glass (high ball glass) with something like a screwdriver or tom collins.

I have a set of 6 by holmes and edwards very similar with the twist but only 8 1/2" long. Mine are ice tea spoons.

Thank you for your responses. It seems likely it was used for iced tea.

It's a stirrer/muddler, used to make cocktails in a mixing glass or pitcher...

Ah yes. A pitcher would make sense taking into account the length of it.
    Thanks so much.
