Featured What would you call this necklace?

I think it's an artisan piece because there were several others in this collection that were definitely artisan pieces. And what company would market something this unusual?

It has all kinds of unrelated pieces and what I guess would be a tie-on closure.

    How would you describe it?

I'd call it a hodgepodge or a "take me part and use my parts".

I call mixed ethnic element pieces treasures…treasure necklace.

    Ditto.
There are some nice components there, missing their context, and some missing their siblings.;)
I see Tuareg, China, India, Himalayas, Andean, and possibly a pendant from a Brazilian Penca de Balangandan.

I'd call it a charm necklace or as @reader says, an 'ethnic element necklace'. No better or worse than a charm bracelet. Some very snobbish comments. Not the spirit in which to end the year.

I agree. Amulet’s also a good word to toss in.

The closure is confusing, how do you close it? Is it possible it's not a necklace but some kind of hanging?? Just a guess. :)

Also could be called reclaimed/recycled/upcycled elements necklace. But I'm also having trouble figuring out how it's worn?

My guess is that it is closed at the front, with the chunky end bead passed through the Tuareg hair ring.
The Tuareg hair ring is the big ring with a stone (carnelian?) set in a thin 'ridge' with triangular motifs.

i’d also play with it to see if it can be used as a belt.

Maybe it looks better when worn. Laying there it looks like a hodgepodge I'd probably disassemble.
