Stylized Flower? I tried a Google image search but didn't see anything useful. If you can photograph it with a white background all around it, an image search may turn up something. Cheers -Joe

Searching "Octagonal vase" is closer even though it seems to have nine sides.
Searching "Octagonal moon vase" has some results even though it is not strictly a moon vase.

My guess would be Mccoy, and called a vase or planter

P.S Haeger also did some similar glazes and shapes

@Joe in PA I was suspecting McCoy but i did not know exactly why I have a lot to learn about with ceramics

I didn't find anything. It looks like something/58. It could be a morning glory, but don't get excited--that didn't help. So, which pottery used a slash in the mark?

    I see a 4 digit number /58
Where the arrow is pointing, can you make anything out?

I don't know if there is enough indentation, but you might try rubbing a little cinnamon into it to see if anything stands out.

only the numbers after the slash have any indentation :(

This might help. Seems to be more numbers.

It has a look of Sylvac pottery.

    Almost looks like 2995/58

I had never heard of Sylvac until i found a piece, in a different spot, last week I am lost with ceramics and pottery, I have a lot to learn I picked this up because it looked older to me and the price was right!! Plus, no damage is always a bonus

Someone else suggested it would not be McCoy because of the slash on the bottom and to check RRPCO More digging to do lol

Looks to me like a West German Keramik pottery number but I can't find one to match.
