Think this one could be quite multi-functional...I liked it so I bought it for maybe a euro(that particular thrift store really likes me)or so. It is not a tealight holder, there is no place to put that in, specifically... its tripod shape is a bit neo-empire, once part of a bigger piece again? I have this small copper vase that fits perfectly in it, so that is how I am using it. 2017-02-22 15.43.22.jpg 2017-02-22 15.41.13.jpg 2017-02-22 15.41.28.jpg 2017-02-22 15.41.47.jpg

I think it IS a cradle for a vase. You're using it correctly.

I think you got lucky with the vase, & it should have had a glass or marble top originally.

    Measurements are needed
    Specifically, height.

I think it was a plant stand. There may have been a marble or stone top on it, or the pot might have sat in it the way the vase is. For one euro I think you scored; the metal is worth more than that.

if a pot is going to sit inside the metal ring...it sure has to be the right size...with no decoration that could be scratched or marred..!!......I think not...

Wonder if it held an ice bucket/wine cooler.

    Well I'll be !!!
That's lovely....& the ring is thin enough that I wouldn't have expected a top to sit comfortably on top !!

Nice find & thanks Ghopper !!!
