    Looks like this old lady was trying out her best scarecrow pose.

    Something about this is quite unsettling. Maybe it's the hunger in her eyes - hunger for the flesh of small children and dogs...

    Maybe it's just the fact that she's behind some plant makes things creepy. If you wanted a good portrait, why stand behind some stuff? scarecrow.jpg

    Am I the only one that sees a ring neck pheasant at her feet - or do I just think I see one?

    Now, before I point this out, please note that there is a term for this phenomenon - "pareidolia".
    Does anyone else see an open mouthed face next to her (to the left of her)?

    That is just poor dear old Great Aunt Agatha, Gladys or Gertrude trying to hid because she always hated to have her pictured taken. Now today as we try to make sense of the pic and adding fun to it are just the reasons she never wanted her pic taken!!

    I'm not kidding I had an aunt as well as a 2nd cousin of my mother who both hated to have their pictures taken. They went to great lengths to hid from the cameras at family gatherings.

    That's the gutted pheasant. Between the time HW posted and Dave showed up a bobcat came along and feasted on the stuffing in the bird.

    I would suggest you, HotWheels, research any natural catastrophe of 40 to 70 years ago, maybe in the mid-west, that might have caused the escape of patients from a mental hospital .
    That should help narrow down many of your photo questions.

    Silverthwait is embarrassed (actually, humiliated! ) to admit that she has NEVER seen or heard that word before.

    :jawdrop::eek::woot::(

    Especially since she has been practicing same since the first time she noticed a cloud. Or an odd piece of wood. or, watched TV sidewise.
