What's up with these earrings??

The one on the right looks like it has a little spot of glue residue under the bust. The pic of the backs shows the left earring has the clip going the wrong way.

    I'm stumped.

    They were probably "right" originally, but something fell off after they were made and a helpful husband "fixed" them. Upside-down.... They wouldn't have been let out of the factory that way.

    She would have put it in right side up. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Of course it could have been a helpful kid.
