Kossowski fee des eaux
    Water fairy.
    Missing ornament from hands.

    When was this version made?
What does the mark say (apart from made in France)?
What is the base made of? When I scratch the bottom of the base with a knife it feels like it could be dense stone.

    Thanks

If you would be so kind as to: edit your post & choose 'show all images full size', then we don't have to click on 9 thumbnail photos. Thanks!

Are you sure it is spelter and not bronze?

Yeah I'm pretty sure. I thought I saw pot metal colour at the broken figure.
I said almost had a kind of a corroded feel until I put some linseed oil on it I don't know if that was the right thing to do or not but it made it more of a beautiful bronze colour and gave it some shine

    Lol that's my one.
I bought it at auction recently I can't remember how much I paid but it was under 100 Australian dollars definitely I think it might have been $50 + auction costs.
Except between that one you posted selling in 2017 and it reaching my hands it has lost another finger yet again lol.
I would be interested to understand when it was made.
Interesting that they describe the marble as rough because it's very smooth and polished on the outside it's quite shiny I initially thought it was some type of metal made to look like marble

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Just above "Made in France" I think it says "PARIS" -- Can't read the printing at the top part of the circle. Is there any way you could make the picture clearer? Or maybe make a rubbing onto a piece of paper?

I believe this to be a reproduction figurine, made of bronze, in the 1990s.

I think it has a reproduction feel to it as well but it feels very aged for 1990
