have you ever looked at a landscape painting and thought to yourself, (I think I've been there)? I think i have been there. it looks like the Truckee River.
The painting is 14" x 18" and has a lot of crackling. I think i can fixt it?. The artist i haven't been able to find anything else by.
I would love to know anyones thoughts on this piece and thanks in advance.

What's the artist's full name. (You've photographed the back with the wire over it.) Do I see Eileen?

I think it is Eileen. Looks like Eilun?
    A little bit of trivia,
Lake Tahoe has over 60 creeks and streams running into it and only the Truckee River flowing out.

Does anyone have any tips on getting rid of the crackling?

Expensive to pay a conservator, far more than the painting is worth. They use a filler that stabilizes the cracks. I watched them do it on the TV show The Repair Shop and videos on the net.

I think I'll live with the cracks. Lol. I am going to give it a good clean and a coat of Grumbachers restoration lacquer. I think will hide some of the cracks and brighten it up.

I did find mention of Eileen Hammons in CA. Maybe? But, no artwork if anyone wants to look further into this. I am on my way out. Does mention the name of El Cerrito art association.

That could well be right. If she lived in El Cerrito, very likely to holiday at Tahoe.

I lived there for 9 years and it’s truly one of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever been. IMO it could be the Truckee but it could be any number of spots. I don’t know that there’s even a way to determine if it’s specifically the N Shore unless someone knows that specific bridge or can contact the artist.
