Where is this lantern from? Looks middle eastern to me?

    Found this today at a thrift store, and after a few squirts of WD40 I was finally able to pull up pin and open door.
    It holds a candle & looks useable; in fact I think the lights it would give off from all the different colored windows would be beautiful!
    Where is it from? It almost looks like a temple or mosque?
    How old is it?
    I haven't been able to find another but that's probably because I don't know how to describe it - hoping someone here will be able to help me.
    PS - Sorry only few photos; batteries died in camera as I was photographing it!
