Where to begin research on this, folding leaf table?

    Any inputs much welcomed. What is it? (Or where should I start my googling), Where should I inspect for marks? Any parts you want closer photos on?

    This has been in the family for a long time and is in very nice condition.

    Hi,
    Are you in Britain or the USA. We always called them folding piecrust tables. i grew up on the East coast of the USA. It is a really nice table.

    It's called a tilt-top table and in this case has a "piecrust edge." Often used as a temporary tea table or candle stand, which would be easily stored out of the way when the top is tilted. Seeing a closer look at the tilt mechanism would be good.

    Sorry to say, flipper, that it's too dark to see anything there. And of course, clicking will not make the picture bigger. We'd be better off with a closeup from Vintage.

    Too small for a loo table Davey and they usually don't have "edges" AFAIK.

    I'd be surprised if this table pre-dates the 1970's.
