Which Pottery? Lion holding a key, over a shield with an Arm holding a sword.

Good evening... Hoping for a bit of help from someone with more expertise than myself.

This mark appears on the underside of a reticulated bowl - Leeds Creamware style - but I cannot find the mark in any Leeds reference books/pages.

Appears to be a rampant lion holding a key - above a shield in which there is an arm holding a sword.

A search for "Lion Key Shield Arm Sword" is rather fruitless.... as is Google Lens

Any pointers would be extremely welcome

There is an identical one currently on Ebay where the seller attributes it to Leeds.

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/127115488965

It is identical APART from it does not have the mark that is on mine ... it does have the impressed "1974" to the underside.

Is that ebay seller correct? Or has he just guesses/assumed?

Could it be a Schumann (Germany) mark? They did lots of reticulated things...

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

@Ferret, I contrasted your mark a bit to hopefully show the lion on your platter a bit easier.....and inverted, below....

@Marote great spot - not sure how you found that but amazing! That is a definite match!. I did wonder if the bowl might be Bohemian in origin.

Now trying to verify that the Hungarian seller has correctly identified their piece, as i cannot find any other Springer/Elbogen marks with the Lion above them (and also the shield shape is slightly different) ... but it certainly makes more sense than the "Leeds" attribution.

    thank you!

First, I found the arm mark in a list with pottery and porcelain marks, saying it was 'Elbogen'. And then I googled for 'Elbogen' + 'Lion', and that Hungarian site was shown as one of the top results.
    Neither can I :(

Do we know the attribution is correct then? I'd still vote for German/Austrian. They seem to like their lions.
