Does anyone know much about boar tusk corkscrews? This was in the pile I got recently, and I remember my dad using it when I was a child (way back in the 1900's). The end cap is marked "sterling" but no other marks besides the engraved initials on the butt.
A couple of google searches and I was astonished! People seem to be really proud of these things!
I'm planning to put this to good use.

I do love a good silver mounted boars tusk! I had an awesome three handled trophy cup once. Crystal with sterling mounts and boar tusk handles. I probably wouldn’t sell that one if I had a do over. Something like this, just….different.

 

That is a chonky cup! Was it too much German beer, or was that where they stored all his chips?
