White Asian Pin Brooch

    I first thought this was plastic, now I am not sure. Bought in a jewelry estate lot.

    To me, it looks cut and not cast.

    From your last photo.

    The rest, I cannot tell what material it is.

    I agree, it is cut. It could be bone.
    These were also made in ivory, but the pin is not what I would expect on an ivory brooch.

    Potential for "French Ivory" with the straight lines?

    I considered that too, but I thought French Ivory would be cast (or similar), not cut.
    kraft, are there lines in/on the material?

    Looks like Galalith (casein ivory) to me.

    I also noticed the pin attachment is not sloppily glued like other costume jewelry.

    I see little black dots on the sides, that says bone to me, JMHO.
