White jade or not

Hello all.
I have a piece of jade. Size 2x2 half inches.
Does anyone know if this is just jade or could be white jade. It's very light in colour and carved beautiful.

 

It looks like celadon Xiu jade, translucent nephrite jade. Celadon is the name for this pale green colour.

 

I agree, Xiuyan or Serpentine Jade. A lot of people think it is not true nephrite.

 

I don't know about a lot of people, I know Molly Kalafut does, but she seems to be confusing it with serpentine, which it isn't.
I have a lot of Xiu jade, and it all tests as nephrite.
The Chinese also say Xiu is nephrite, this is a trustworthy site:

If not wrong Xiu is rich in Serpentine that is why sometimes it's callled Serpentine Jade.
I don't know... if the carving is nicely done I would not mind have it. But still, to me the only true jade is jadeite and nephrite.

By the way, the icy jadeite sometimes may look similar in appearance to Xiu.

Yes the carving is nicely done. Hoping to sell it but I see if I can find out abit more about it. It looks like

 

We can only guess based on a photo posted on the internet. Have the piece tested by someone with a gem tester, that is proof!

 

What's the hardness? It's not advisable to scratch with steel blade but I usually do on unnoticeable areas.

By the way, if we take Christies for example ( not saying they are the biggest experts, they make mistakes too), I don't recall seeing a piece sold as Xiuyan jade.
Don't get me wrong, Chinese have used all kind of stones for carvings, and if old and good quality it can fetch a nice amount.
I just wonder why there are not old high end jade pieces that were made of Xiu but either jadeite or nephrite?
