    Hi everybody,

Feels like I'm bombing this forum the last weeks :p
I have been buying a couple of beautiful items.

I remember 2 years ago I bought a green glass empire style box.
Found out that it was opaline glass, and on my searches for it I found some very nice boxes and vases etc. Then I really started trying to find these boxes, but couldn't find anything but boxes for top prices, which were way above my budget.

I think I have been searching for 2 years now, many hours a day to just find some beautiful opaline glass items for "the right price". Now, yesterday.. In my country I found a opaline box online. Then I saw it was in my own city, right arround the corner. (5 minutes away). Asked the man what he would like to sell it for... € 50,00.

So I went to pick it up. Got there, then he handed me the box. And it was so heavy.
This small box weight almost 1 KG.

Anyway, it's just a coincidence that I have been searching for a long time. U.S.A, France, Belgium.. anywhere. And finally I found it on the old block where I used to live.

I think this one is Art Deco.

    Dimensions:
    Height: 9 cm/ 3,54 inch.
    Width: 10,4 cm/ 4,09 inch.
    Depth: 7 cm/ 2,76 inch.

    Weight: 956 Gram.

This one has a beautiful opalescent glance when holding it against the light.
Condition is pretty much perfect, except for 1 tiny chip of the side edge.

Love the opaline. You've got great taste, + you were amazingly lucky to find this one so close!

Very pretty. I found one in blue a few years ago but the selling price was too much so I had to pass on it.

That's too bad. They're not really rare, but they're just "in possesion". And once sold the price will never go down. Sometimes I watch auction results, for example on liveauctioneers.com . Feels like I'm just a couple of years too late. I seen so many opaline items.. vases and caskets etc go for maybe 1/5th of the price they're sold now.

Still got 3 items coming this week. One of 'em is coming tomorrow.
Unfortunately I'm bankrupt right now hahah.
I think I need to sell some items, but where?
On ebay I don't get any views. When I look up my own stuff I can't really find it.
Only when I search on the dutch ebay. Same goes for picclick.
Don't really know how that works.

Also, does anybody know a good background remover program that's free?
I tried using gimp but I wasn't really satified with that one. A couple of online programs with trial were much easier to work with, and a hundred times faster .
