    I wasn't sure what this piece was made of when I bought it, but after further examination I am fairly certain it is glass. BWDIK :p:p:p I have included a close-up of one of the feet that shows a mold line along the side.

    It is 2 3/4" to the side edge, 4 5/8" across the top & is 6 3/8" across tip of foot to tip of foot.

    There are no marks that I could find & I did find a black one but that yielded no clues as to the maker.

    Very nice! I have had similar black ones. Use "plinth" as a search term.

    Is it considered clambroth? Is it florescent? Cute!

    Think clam chowder. The broth is a "thin" white.

    I wonder, considereing what it is, could it have been called "white jade"? I do know it's glass, agree that it could be Beaumont.

    Thanks to everyone!! :happy::happy:

    I think I will likely be able to sell it for more than the $6.00 than I paid. ;) :p :smug::smug:

    Beaumont called the glass Ferlux and that is the search term I use when looking for it. Photos of this piece and others can be seen in Great American Glass of the Roaring 20s and Depression Era (aka GAG).

    Not bragging or anything, but here is a quick pic of a couple of my vases using this base. I think Fenton used a similar base for their September Morn bowls. Don't know if they got the mold from Beaumont or not.
