I'm trying to figure out if this mug would of been used on the ship when it was an ocean liner or maybe when it was a troop transport. White Star normally but their logo on everything so it seems a little off that it just has the ships name.

The mark is Sheffield - Crafsman Pewter.

I picked it up a yard sale, and am using it to hold my pens and markers. I can find something similar online.

    Thank you for any info.

Believe Craftsman Pewter was a trademark of Viners Ltd of Sheffield, England from 1926 to 1939. This would mean the tankard would date before being a troop carrier.

Need to scroll about 1/3 down to the 5th page. The listing at the bottom of the 5th page:

By the way, I'm also surprised at the lack of the White Star or Cunard logo. Those companies usually went "overboard" stamping their logos on everything in sight.
