Who is the maker of this pitcher?

    Some pottery company in the Germany/Austria vicinity would be first on my list of suspects.
    Second on the list would be unmarked Nippon.

    Are there numbers and/or letters impressed into the bottom?

    Yes there is a impressed 11 on the bottom

    I went and looked at Royal Worcester tankards, pitchers and jugs. Now I'm leaning more towards Gila's take.:joyful:

    The cut-out top that looks like a Prussian helmet and dolphin handle make me lean towards Austrian.

    I think I'm seeing an impressed 8 as well. Is that smudge the remains of a mark? How about a close up of that?
