Who is this military figure?

    The plate is Jingdezhen porcelain from my research. I previously posted this in the "porcelain" section and didn't receive any responses. From what I've been told this was a privately commissioned set of china done for a wealthy foreigner. I only have a set of 6 saucers that are approx. 4 1/2" in diameter. Can anybody give info on the age of the plate and who the person is on the front of it? Any info would be appreciated.
