Who would but this new roll press?

Have been offered in trade a new unused electric roll press which seems to be the $5k one in this ad. If I could sell it quick for $3k I'd do well considering I have well less invested in what the trader wants. What is the market for this machine, I know it is used in jewelry making but since it weighs 500 lbs I'm guessing your corner jewelry shop wouldn't be interested. Sorry this isn't an antique topic but I needed to ask some jewelry experts.

I've been kicking myself for not buying the one at a garage sale for $150 a few years ago.

The only people I'd see buying them are home jewelry makers and they'd be cheap. I doubt you'd get more than 10% of that asking price.

 

With desk top cad cam milling machines and 3D printers becoming fairly inexpensive there is less need for a rolling machine.Sized metal stock is easily available locally or a phone call away and delivered within a couple of days.There may still be fabrication shops doing there own stock sizing ,but a good rolling machine has at least a 30 year plus life span.

 

Two votes "no." Looking like it might be hard to sell and I don't have time or desire to shop it around. Any "yes" votes?
