Who you callin' kewpie ?

I can't seem to find the right word combo to find any of this little guy's brothers or sisters. He sits 4 inches high. Looks like glue residue around the hole.

I forgot to mention - he's painted clay.

 

Is that a name on the base? Or maybe that is just my eyes doing wishful thinking?

 

Your eyes and mine - it's just the glue residue and some of whatever was glued to the bottom. Or maybe just some dirt in with the glue.

 

So...is there a name for this type of creature?

 

I’ve seen some figures crawling called piano babies, but I don’t know what details would be necessary to be considered a piano baby.
@judy or @Christmasjoy may know.

He is cute in his own right. I thought there might be some sort of significance to his glance and gesture the linked him to others of his kind,
but I haven't found any of those others !
