This has to be one of the strangest things I've seen, a twin spouted Victorian teapot.

Presumably made so you can spill tea in two places at once!

Really cool! I'd have bought it too! I have one old one with spouts on each side!

    Is this one oriental?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

UMMMMMM, the pot's not split in two on the inside, is it????? For two different flavored teas, if so, maybe?????? Otherwise.....Siamese twins???????

Nope, just the normal inside, except there are two sets of straining holes, one set for each spout.

Pretty sure this is Staffordshire Jackfield, black glaze on red earthenware.

No idea who made it, and I cant take any credit for buying it, I didnt notice the two spouts until it was time to pack up

I thought Jackfield was on black clay. Am I wrong?

I think you are wrong, it is the black glaze on red clay I understood.

I am happy to be corrected though!

18th C Jackfield does have dark gray/black clay. These are some of my Jackfield and I'm not sure how clearly you can see the clay on the bottoms where it isn't glazed but even on breaks it's dark and not red. I think the red clay are later pieces.

So have you tried pouring from it? I've seen them before but not in use. I wondered if it was just a novelty or if it actually was sort of handy.
