The marks on the bottom of these pieces look like the real deal to me & I know the original sculpture was done by Ferdinand Opitz, but for the life of me I have no idea who these 2 guys are suppose to be. I was hoping that someone here might recognize these 2 dudes.

    First guy: Mozart
    Second guy: Beethoven

But a search for Mozart will bring up a chameleon and quite a few Beethovens.

A search for Beethoven brings up mostly Beethoven.

Man...Beethoven looks PISSED OFF! I guess it's not just a rumor after all...

I find it interesting that there aren't identifying stickers/plaques/etc stamped/pressed/glued into the sides/bases of the busts?

Well, if you were Beethoven, and had just completed the Ninth Symphony, and you knew you would never hear it, how would you feel?

    :)

True, but I was referring to the fact that Beethoven was infamous for having a ferocious temper. He was the tenant from hell, apparently. And his deafness didn't help any.

He's the one who actually looks like he's listening to something. How incredibly tragic!

Thanks to all of my helpers!!!:kiss::kiss::kiss::kiss::kiss:

(I have no idea what "augarted" means.)

I believe this is a typo & they meant Augarten which is where in Austria the factory was located.
