Windsor chair with logo on seat

Come across a set of Windsor chairs , been told they are oak , they have a crinoline stretcher and a embossed stamp on seat . Any information would be good cheers Neil

 

stamp not close enough for me to make heads or tails of.........

 

Not to mention that the location is a very odd place for a logo to be...

 

Any chance you could show a picture of the complete chair and a larger picture of the stamp.

 

Once in a rare while, some of the OLD Ladder Back chairs with rush seats that my Mom used to collect, would have a makers mark carved into the top of one of the front corners of the legs by the seat.........

 

Until Neil posts a CRISP close-up of that mark, this is the best I can do!!!

It's a Tudor Rose. Tudor Rose Bros Ltd Furniture I think.

 

Would that location on the chair seat be a usual place for their logo to be placed?

 

Not unusual. People were proud of the quality they'd bought. Post war and all that.
