Lilloni perhaps? There's an Italian artist Umberto Lilloni who paints in a similar manner. And who has a similar signature.

So, I guess you need the right auction house ( in Europe because I don’t think the artist is well known on the American market) or maybe some works are more desirable than others.

Maybe I should pick up the best sales and contact the galleries.

 

Internet did say pre-World War II work of greater collector interest.

What’s that supposed to mean? The previously sold by them painting was something special, the market for this artist is not hot anymore, ....?
