Prices vary so much with location that I doubt anyone can give you a good answer but they'll try. This is imo quite an odd piece and might be a hard sell at any price in many markets.

The price would suit me - if I were purchasing for myself. I would not pay that amount if I had resale as a goal.

    Worth it if it's comfortable!

Here in n. fla you'd be lucky to get $75 for it. I think its just a turn of the century parlor chair, possibly German. Its nice.

As others have said if you are buying for resale, no it is not a good deal.

However, if you are looking for a rocking chair and you are comfortable sitting in it, and $150 is something you are comfortable spending, then the price seems ok.

You are not likely to find another of that stlye and decoration.

Is this in a shop? You could always make an offer. 20% would make it 130. I'd offer 125 cash includes sales tax.

It is a revival piece circa 1910. I wouldn't pay that for it but you couldn't buy anything new as nice for that money.

If you like it and you're going to rock the baby, the cat, or yourself in it, then you can't get hurt too badly. As others said, resale on that sort of furniture has tanked over the past few years. The local Restore gets all sorts of rocking chairs and they all get marked down at least twice before they sell for about $50-$75. The $150 is about antique store price for it.
