    Hi,

    Does anyone recognize these?

The subject of the carving appears to be a ring-tailed lemur or some other long-tailed primate. On the reverse is the #4. Part of a bookcase or another piece of furniture? 19th-Cantury?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I would think a woodcarving of a lemur is from Madagascar, not China.
I can't see it being 19th century, but do think it was part of something else.

The porcelain mark looks Chinese, but can we see the item?

I am considering buying this item and am trying not to help the competition, but here's a section of the piece that may help you and others confirm it is indeed Chinese. I believe the figure is a Chinese scholar and the way he's drawn and the heavy gilting seems to indicate 1900-1950s. Thanks!
