    Little piece i found recently.
    It is 6 1/2" long
Signed on one side just Mart. and on the bottom mart Puglas Kwakwaka. That's all i know and was hoping someone with some knowledge on this type of thing would tell me what I have.

Looks like a letter opener. The Puglas family are Kwakwaka'wakw, Canadian First Nations (from the west coast of British Columbia, generally); I'm slightly familiar with Danny Puglas (my daughter used one of his designs on my wedding cake) and Frank Puglas. The design is rather rudimentary, but is correct in style; could be a killer whale if the top has an indication of a blow-hole. I'd guess this artist is a younger member of the family.
Brad and Edna Puglas are politically active in the Mamalilikulla First Nations, on Knight inlet, not sure of the relationship.
