Wood container etched with monkey and goose?

    IMG_6183.JPG IMG_6184.JPG IMG_6185.JPG IMG_6186.JPG IMG_6187.JPG I am not sure if this was used for documents or something else. The top opens and I think the bottom also, but it is stuck now. It is 10"tall and 3" diameter. The wood looks to be fairly old. Has anyone seen one of these? Thanks!!

    Can't remember if these are Thai or Indonesian but a fairly modern import. Maybe mango wood.

    It is a traditional medicine container from the island of Lombok in Indonesia. Many are now made as souvenirs, but usually nice quailty. Yours is very nice.
