Could be an earlier work. Btw, what kind of bird is that supposed to be?

Drillbill balloonbird, last known individual died Feb. 16, 1946, at the San Diego zoo, section B. Very sad.

Spring, for real or a joke. I can’t find anything on such a bird.

Don't know that much about Wade's bariety, but root Head decoys are a well known genre. *like*

Kard, I shoulda put a smiley after that but smileys make me sad. Sry. That thing looked so goofy I jus’ had to have some fun with it.

As far as an “earlier work” by Wade, I agree, looks like he may have made it at about age 6.

If I am correct this is the white billed variety, which was always very rare (since recorded history). The last one was spotted in the wild in 1903.

(in California, anyway) snipe hunting is a little prank played on camping trips at night. Victims are invited to join in a hunt and taught the snipe "call."

Then the perps stop calling and sit back, listening to their target and waiting for the "aha" moment.

Of course, my older brothers pulled it on me - it only works once, though :) lol.

We thought it was an entirely made up creature.
