Any advice as to what this is and when it was? Thank you in advance.

Contemporary from the "Made in" sticker.

Not necessarily contemporary - Made In stickers started around 1935 (avery type labels did at least). Circular saw marks present. Is there any worming present?

Thanks for the feedback. The worm damage as shown in 1 pic above, otherwise doesn't seem recent or active.

Maybe Mexican? To go with one of those religious paintings?

I was referring to the sticker itself, its plainness, its rectangular shape, the serif type face that mimics a typewriter... To my eye all point to contemporary. (Of course, I could be wrong.)

Ok-- interesting lead. Thank you. I seem to remember something from a similar cart here once before...?

I was thinking the same. I could have been the one to identify it.;) My parents had one of those friezes.

Someone could have done a 'great' job stripping the remainders off. After all, it looks so sloppy.

Whatever it is, it was once part of something bigger, and likely from a coastal or island region somewhere.
