Any ideas on what type of wood, origin and age on this guy? Only thing I could find was Kimolo in Greece I thought maybe it was the artist but now I am unsure It is solid and appears to be made well

I was thinking maybe mahogany, but color seems to be too dark.

That was my thought but I don't know anything about wood and wondered if ebony has the lines in it as this piece does Thank you I'm rather kinda liking it and hoping it makes it to the sell pile lol

It is beautiful. I like the way the tail extends beyond the base.
    It can.
It could also be coromandel wood. This is coromandel, detail of a Balinese carving:

I've seen wood like that in sculptures from Hawaii. Kimolo could be an Hawaiian name? Kimolos is actually the location in Greece.
    Anyway, striking piece.

I picked the piece up thinking it would be African for sure but then the name on the bottom has me stumped. Any idea on age?

I get an art deco vibe, but it could very well be 40s-50s.

It looks to have more distinct grain than the ebony with which I am familiar; however there are at least four species of tree that are called ebony; there are around 25 species commonly called ironwood; and many more types of wood that have names which are only used locally.
If you wanted to try putting it in water that might be diagnostic of the type of wood; ebony and a small number of other woods will sink in water. In short, I can't definitively ID the wood, but it is a nicely done carving.

Might test a small area on the base with water, just to be sure the finish is not water-soluble. Most finishes are safe in water, and ebony or ironwood (of whatever species) are so hard that they won't be damaged by a brief water-bath.
