Wooden bust of “Java Man”... origin? Timeframe?

    I’m not sure where to post this but I hope ya’ll can help. We have had this handsome guy in the family for decades but I have no specific date. I saw him on TV 2 years ago in a movie “Foreign Correspondant”, a 1940 American spy thriller, and took a quick pic. He is not identical but pretty darned close. He measures 11 1/2” tall. We have Dutch roots so Java is my guess.... Thank you for helping me!!!
