Wooden Dolls / Toys

    Maybe a need to place a section on Toys.
    However sure as a young kid seen these. Any Ideas?

    Tchotchkes. In the 1960s there were similar imports from Denmark.

    These things can be surprisingly pricey. Mid-century modern.

    Those were more likely made in Japan, in imitation of the Scandinavian pieces...

    That is, of course, not unlikely. The first few would have come from Scandinavia and then, when they became popular, the greater number would have been copies from Japan.

    As only one photograph, can only guess that... Fur hats might signify winter sports. Perhaps a little ice skater and a little skier?

    Yes I prefer the idea that these are originals from Denmark as they have snow, but Japan does also of course.
