Wooden folk art military figure cut outs, what age could they be?

Hello all! These two came from an auction house (they measure 10.5"H and 9.75"H). They were listed as 1930s. I'm wondering if you could give me your opinion on if you think this is accurate or could they be a little older? They seem to have been created at home, perhaps for a child to play with? Would they have been cut out from a newspaper or from a kit? Any info on either or both would be great, thanks in advance!

 

The same image appears to have been used for both yours and this painted one. 37th Regiment of Foot Levee Dress uniform. 1815.

The other of the Royal Horse Guard appears to use a printed color image, perhaps from a newspaper, that has been mounted. The back appears to be from Twinnings tea crate so I'd assume non-commercially made.

Not sure how you'd date either.
