    They are cute. I sold a pair of Peppy and Salty many years ago when they were wanted by collectors.

    I remember my mom having the chef set which I inherited, so probably from the early 1950s. I have other similar sets, but didn't post since they are alike.

    I think this may be similar to your set, with a box. They have Japan labels on their bottoms.
