Would this be called a Compote? Amberina? 7" tall

    AmberinaCom1.jpg AmberinaCom2.jpg Is it a Compote? Is it Amberina? Maker? I'm stumped which is not unusual.

    Your piece is part of Vikings "Yesteryear" line. The line was compromised of several different actual patterns. Viking introduced the line in March of 1957, and continued to make it at least into the 1970's. They did refer to this color as "Amberina" The catalog number for this piece is #1927. In his book on Viking Glass, Dean Six describes the piece as a footed ivy ball.
