Ww1 photos

    Royal naval air service
    This sensitive paper is the property of his majesty's government

    Could anyone tell me anything about them please
    Here is a few examples but I have about 50 of them
    Alot of them are ariel photographs aswell _20200523_221834.JPG

    You've posted 4 photographs several times each. Would you post other examples of the collection that might provide a better sense of place?

    The Defense of the Realm Act was from England, WWI and the pictures do look like they were taken in the 1910s/1920s. Would be cool to see more and maybe find additional info!

    If WWI it has a look of German East Africa , Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

    The British Empire forces fought the Germans there for 4 years in a guerrilla campaign , lots of merchant ships were used.

    The Royal Naval Air Service in WWI later became the RAF

    Can you post any more architectural photos? They are the only ones that provide a sense of place.
