Sadly I don't have the wooden box it would have been housed in while in flight but here is a pretty good running example of a watch that would have been used for navigation purposes. At least that is my understanding. I am assuming the 43- in the serial number puts it as a 1943 production date. I have no history of the piece, of weather it ever left the states, etc or not but I still get a kick out of it.
